Get Your Copy of the 39th Annual Doc's Sports Journal
While I know everyone is anxiously preparing for another great season of NFL football, I wanted to share my own review of Doc's Sports Journal, published by Doc's Sports Service -- a loyal sponsor of The Weekly NFL Picks Page since 2007. Go get your copy at Doc's web site for only $10.
Doc's Sports Journal has been published since 1971 and you may have seen it before -- each year they provide thousands of copies to casinos and sports books in Nevada and also to sports bars in all 50 states. It is a conveniently pocket-sized schedule and stats book for the 2010-11 football season. Even if you don't gamble and you are merely competing with friends for bragging rights here on The Weekly NFL Picks Page, you will get alot out of this guide.
Every college and pro football game is listed with last year's spread and final score. For college games, you get "Short Shots" with hundreds of relevant trends for the matchups. For each NFL team, you get in-depth info including last years scores and lines, three years of division scores, final 2009 stat rankings, roster changes and helpful trends.
Throughout the journal you also get articles and advice from Doc's team of handicappers as well as Doc himself. With every schedule page, there are blank box scores for you to fill in results by quarter. It's designed to be your journal. So there's room for you to make notes and build a game plan for each week of the season.
For those folks who do like to wager on the games (where it's legal, of course), Doc's Sports Service also offers all sorts of picks packages and they have a good track record with their handicappers. I haven't used those services, but I do keep my copy of the journal handy each week while making my NFL picks here on the site. The trends and historical stats in the journal can help you make up your mind for a tough pick.
I encourage you to visit Doc's site and see for yourself. Then fill out the form to have them send you a copy of the journal.
Happy Picking This Season and Good Luck!
B-Man
